Wow! I am amazed at how fast time flies! It is truly hard to believe that we have had our precious Addison Elizabeth for 8 weeks already. I remember my mom telling me that once you have a child, time goes much faster. haha. I am starting to realize that e'thing my mom has told me for the last 28 years is coming to fruition. haha. She is one smart cookie!
It is such a blast being a mommy. Addison has us laughing constantly. In fact, last night, she did a very loud, big-girl laugh in her sleep! haha. She smiles all the time, but that was the first time we had heard a hearty laugh come out of our little girl. haha. Also, drumroll please...Addie is officially sleeping 8 hours through the night! Let me just say that we are two VERY proud, rested parents! Hallelujah!
On another note...Kenny & I are learning so much about working together as a team. I can't go into any details on the blog, but Kenny & I have had to handle a rather hairy situation back home in MS. It has been beyond difficult (full of hurt & misunderstandings), but it has only strengthened our marriage and made us closer than we've ever been (which I didn't think was possible). We have also realized what incredible friends we have---prayer warriors, who have been on their knees for us. It's funny how an emotionally draining, tougher-than-tough situation can actually produce a positive outcome. It has given Kenny & I an opportunity to evaluate what is most important & to reflect on our relationship with Christ. Kenny & I are claiming Psalm 37:7 (thanks Kellie) and choosing to rest in our Lord each day.
I am a VERY blessed woman to have such an incredible husband & precious daughter. The love I have for both of them just keeps on growing.
