What a fun few days (understatement)! Anne, Brian, & the kiddos arrived in the D.C. area on Thursday & were here until Sunday morning (we wish it were longer)! We had such a blast with the Hull family (another massive understatement)! They came to our humble abode Friday afternoon to meet our precious 6-week-old Addie Beth, & then we headed out for a night on the town. hehe. After they experienced the amazement of monuments & museums in D.C. during the day, Kenny & I showed them the historical beauty of Old Town Alexandria at night. We ate at Bugsy's restaurant (our fave...SO yummy). Then, we put on our walking shoes & headed to the harbor by the Potomac!
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our time with fam! We sure do miss Anne, Brian, Ben, & Brooke! To continue on our weekend...On Saturday, Kenny & I slept in (muchly needed & absolutely glorious). Then, the fellas watched Ole Miss vs. Alabama, and the girls went perusing at Homegoods in Kingstown with a fun-filled stop to Starbucks for some coffee & hot chocolate. Just for the record...it was tough to have such craziness in our home due to the fact that I am a hardcore MS State fan, however, I let it slide, since they are were our guests. hahaha. I have definitely missed talking to Anne (who is more like my sister, than my aunt) & really enjoyed catching up. And spending quality time with Brookee made my day (I adore my sweet cousin)! When we got back, we woke Addie up, & headed to Fuddrucker's for some sustenance! And finally, we enjoyed more time in Old Town & said our good-byes. It was definitely a short trip, but I am VERY thankful the Hulls were able to come & spend time with us Whites, & love on our baby girl! hehe. Anne was SO sweet with Addie! I know she is going to adore her Aunt Anne, Uncle Brian, & fantabulous cousins!
